The Annual Function of St.Mary’s Nursery School was held on 26thNovember, 2016 amidst great excitement and elation.Shree Sanjay Kumar Singh, IAS, the District Magistrate of Allahabad was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Mr. Amit Kumar Mishra, IRS, was the Guest of Honour. They were received warmly with bouquets of flowers. Many notable guests, fathers, sisters and parents were present to grace the occasion.The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp and invoking God’s blessings by Rev. Fr. Ronald Tellis. Little angels put forth their tiny feet to march for a peaceful and compassionate world. Their effort to march impeccably was indeed a treat to the eyes.Parents are the quintessential part of a person’s life. They are the source of life, comfort and security and the seat of unconditional love. The small children of UKG C and D acknowledged their love and gratitude for their parents through a dance performance.Through their PT Item ‘Women Power On The Rise’, the tiny-tots of LKG A and B saluted the invincible spirit of women.‘The greatest gift is the gift of life; the greatest sin would be to return that gift ungratefully and unopened. Enjoy every moment because every moment we get is a gift’,was the beautiful message brought out by the kids of LKG E and F.All children are created in God’s own image. Child labour robs them off their childhood. It impedes their development. ‘Say No to Child Labour’ was the plea of the little angels of UKG A and B.The children exhibited exuberant spirit with their rhythmic moves. The bright hues of their costumes and their sparkling performances enlivened the atmosphere. The zealous parents, gathered in large numbers, constantly applauded the participants.The students revealed tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm in a variety of races. After completion of each of these races, the proud winners were given prizes. The little sports stars received a thunderous applause from one and all and left with shining bright faces, flaunting their prizes.The tug-of-war thrilled the audience.The event concluded with the final assembling of the students followed by the Chief Guest’s address.The Chief Guest lauded and appreciated the performances of the kids. He praised the teachers for their sincerity and the students for their efforts.In the end, the tiny SMCians offered a sapling to our honourable Chief Guest.Prizes were given for the Best PT, Best Discipline and Best Effort. The function culminated with the National Anthem.
