It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15th 1947.It look hundred, of years to break the shackles of slavery. People of the country celebrates this festival every year with great enthusiasm. SMC-21 also celebrates the 71st Independence Day with great joy. The feeling of patriotism was evident in all. The senior most class of the school class 3 was presented on the day beaming with smiles and patriotism. Our manager sister Teresina hoisted the flag at 08:00 am and all the students saluted the flag and sang National Anthem. Teachers delivered speeches and spoke on the significance of the historic day. Sr. Teresina also gave a very meaningful message to the children. She stressed on the duties of true Indian towards the nation. This day reminds us that the freedom we enjoy is the result of many sacrifices given by great leaders for our motherland and we are the guardians of the great heritage. Jai Hind!
